Evidence of Work
The goal for Design Step 1 of our capstone project is to lay the groundwork for what's to come. This includes brainstorming, making a detailed planner, and making a decision on what product our group will be making.
This process is divided into two different parts/steps, part 1 includes brainstorming and making a Padlet to group our ideas together along with finding a mentor. Part 2 required us to decide on a product, identify possible solutions to the issues we found, and survey consumers to hear their feedback on our design. This all culminated into our group making our first Project Proposal.

Part 1
Our group made a Padlet to keep track of our ideas and group/connect them together. It was very helpful when we needed to brainstorm something or look back at it for reference when making our proposal and survey. The next thing our group made was a Toggl, a planner that keeps track of when parts of the project are due and assigns who will be doing them. We will keep updating our Toggl and Padlet as we move foward with our project to keep our group in check.

Part 2
After finishing part 1, the issue we decided to tackle was pollution of the environment and how we could prevent it from occurring. We went through many ideas but most of them seemed to center around solar power and something mechanical. And so we finally landed on making a Solar-powered electric bike, our plan was to implement this bike into big cities where people would usually take an Uber and offer this as a cost efficient and environmentally friendly alternative. We also ended up naming our group and project "Bicyclean".
The first document we made was a Demands and Wishes list, using this list we were able to then form a survey which we sent out to our peers.

After receiving feedback we revised the survey to target our audience a bit better. Once we got results we put them into charts and graphs to analyze the data.
Lastly we combined all of our data, brainstorming, and research into one initial Project Proposal.
Reflection
One thing that I thought went well for our group was completing assignments on time. Another thing would be our efficiency at getting things done, as in when asked to do something we'd get it done in a fast but quality way. One thing I learned about myself during this project was that I can coordinate others well, as in assigning tasks for people to do and distributing work fairly. Another thing I learned about myself is that I can sketch if I put my mind to it and concentrate. Unfortunately our group didn't do very well at time management, as in doing the assignment the day it was assigned rather than the day before its due. The other thing we didn't do so great on was using the Toggl to assign who was doing what, and instead using texting and other forms of communication. The previous "pit" might not be considered one since we pretty much got to 4 by doing 5-1(texting) instead of 2+2(Toggl), what I'm saying is that we still arrived at where we needed to be at despite approaching the problem in a different way. There were a couple of things I myself could have done better, the first being a bit more in charge rather than hoping that everything falls into place and works out in some magical way. In addition I underestimated the amount of work we had to do a couple of times which led to me working a bit longer than I should have some nights. All in all, our group and project has been great so far and I think we will do well in the future if we are strict with ourselves.
