For this project, my group was tasked with proving how the heart maintains homeostasis through the heart rate. We created a document with the Scientific Method, Procedure, and evidence explained on it. We then had to transfer this document onto a "poster" to present to the class. We made this "poster" on google slides.
Concepts and Evidence:
All of the concepts are explained on the google document and how they relate to heart rate homeostasis.
Below is the poster that my group made.
Reflection:
All in all this project went very well. I was in a group of three and one of us(you know who you are) did a lot of the work for this project. I really wish I could contribute more in future projects rather than just doing nothing while one of my group member's is doing something. And I'm not saying that I did nothing, but the distribution of work was not equal among each group member. I don't usually get bothered by this when I'm the one doing all the work but I just feel really bad when someone else is. One pro of this project was definitely the group I got. We communicated really well and like I said before we got done with the project very quickly. Another pro was that my group had finished early. This gave my group more time to perfect our presentation and document. One con of this project would be my contribution. I feel like I didn't contribute enough compared to one person in my group who was close to doing everything(at least it felt like that). Another con would be all of the extra time we had. Once my group was done with the presentation we kinda just sat there and played buzz feed quizzes. One change I would make to this project would be the amount of time we had to do it. It felt like we were given to much time which led to many preventable events in the classroom occurring. One thing I would keep the same were the topics that we had to choose from. They were all relatively easy and accessible for each group to test. This project was definitely my favorite one for sophomore STEM so far and I hope we continue to get similar projects like it.
